Title:	Antifungal 1,3-bis-triazolyl-2-propanol derivative
Abstract:	2-(2,4-Difluorophenyl)-1,3-bis(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-ol and its pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts are disclosed. This particular bis-triazole derivative and its aforesaid salts are useful for treating fungal infections in animals, including humans. Methods for preparing these compounds from known starting materials are provided.

Patent Claims:	1. An antifungal compound selected from the group consisting of 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-1,3-bis(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propan-2-ol and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. 2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and an effective antifungal amount of a compound as claimed in claim 1. 3. A method for treating fungal infections in a warm-blooded animal, which comprises administering to said animal an effective antifungal amount of a compound as claimed in claim 1.
