Patent Claims: |
1. A compound represented by the formula: ##STR174## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2. The compound of claim 1 as the sodium salt. 3. A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of peptic ulcers which comprises an effective amount of a compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent. 4. A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of peptic ulcers which comprises an effective amount of a compound of claim 2 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent. 5. A method for the prevention or treatment of peptic ulcers in a person requiring same which comprises administering to that person an effective amount of a compound of claim 1. 6. A method for the prevention or treatment of peptic ulcers in a person requiring same which comprises administering to that person an effective amount of a compound of claim 2. |
