Patent Claims: |
1. Substantially optically pure (S)(+)-2-ethoxy-4[N-{1-(2-piperidino-phenyl)-3-methyl-1-butyl]aminocarbony lmethyl]-benzoic acid and the salts thereof with inorganic or
organic acids or bases.
2. The compound according to claim 1 having an optical purity of at least ee=95%. 3. The compound according to claim 1 having an optical purity of at least ee=98%. 4. The physiologically acceptable salts of the compound according to claim 1 with organic or inorganic acids or bases. 5. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound according to claim 1 and one or more inert carriers or diluents. 6. A method for treating diabetes mellitus comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of the compound as recited in claim 1. |
