Patent Claims: |
1. A compound having the formula: ##STR00016## wherein: X is CH; Y is oxygen; Z is oxygen; R is CO.sub.2H; R.sup.2 is methyl; R.sup.3 is methyl; R.sup.4 is phenyl; R.sup.5 is
phenyl; and R.sup.6 is methyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2. The compound of claim 1, wherein said compound is an optically active enantiomer. 3. The compound of claim 2, wherein the enantiomer is the S enantiomer. 4. The compound of claim 3, wherein the enantiomer is the pure form of the S enantiomer. 5. The compound of claim 2, wherein the enantiomer is the R enantiomer. 6. The compound of claim 5, wherein the enantiomer is the pure form of the R enantiomer. 7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound having the formula: ##STR00017## wherein: X is CH; Y is oxygen; Z is oxygen; R is CO.sub.2H; R.sup.2 is methyl; R.sup.3 is methyl; R.sup.4 is phenyl; R.sup.5 is phenyl; R.sup.6 is methyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 8. The composition of claim 7, wherein said composition is suitable for oral, parenteral, or nasopharyngeal delivery. 9. The composition of claim 7, wherein the composition is in a solid form. 10. The composition of claim 7, wherein the composition is in a liquid form. 11. The composition of claim 7, wherein the composition is in the form of a tablet, capsule, powder, granule, suppository, solution, colloid, ointment, cream, vapor or spray. 12. The composition of claim 7, wherein the carrier comprises a tablet binder, filler, preservative, tablet disintegrant, flow regulator, plasticizer, wetting agent, dispersant, emulsifier, solvent, release-slowing agent, antioxidant, or propellant gas. 13. The composition of claim 7, wherein the compound is an optically active enantiomer. 14. The composition of claim 13, wherein the enantiomer is the S enantiomer. 15. The composition of claim 14, wherein the enantiomer is the pure form of the S enantiomer. 16. The composition of claim 13, wherein the enantiomer is the R enantiomer. 17. The composition of claim 16, wherein the enantiomer is the pure form of the R enantiomer. 18. The compound ##STR00018## |
