Patent Claims: |
1. A method of treating a female hypoactive sexual desire disorder in a patient, comprising administering to said female patient in need thereof a therapeutically
effective amount of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof to treat said female hypoactive sexual desire disorder.
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein flibanserin is administered in form of a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof; and wherein said salt is formed by the addition of an acid selected from the group consisting of succinic acid, hydrobromic acid, acetic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid, methanesuiphonic acid, lactic acid, phosphonic acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, tartaric acid, citric acid and mixtures thereof. 3. The method according to claim 1, wherein flibanserin, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, is administered in a dose range of from 0.1 to 400 mg per day. |
