1. A method for treating a subject suffering from acne, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a substituted tetracycline compound that is
##STR00127## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

A method for treating a subject suffering from rosacea, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a substituted tetracycline compound that is ##STR00128## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 0.01 to 100 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 4. The method according to claim 2, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 0.01 to 100 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 0.1 to 50 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 6. The method according to claim 2, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 0.1 to 50 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 7. The method according to claim 1, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 1 to 20 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 8. The method according to claim 2, wherein the amount of substituted tetracycline compound administered to the subject is in a range of from 1 to 20 milligrams per kilogram of body weight of the subject. 9. The method according to claim 1, wherein the subject is a human. 10. The method according to claim 2, wherein the subject is a human. |
